Dear Class:

We will be finishing out 9-2 on your own. I will 'revisit' 9-2 work together. 9-3 talks about recording 'petty cash' overages and underages (over and under). It also deals with totaling, proving and ruliing cash payments journal page and then carying them forward to the next page.

9-4 talks about journaling other transactions using a general journal (see page 254 and 255). This deals with supplies bought on account. Then the book goes into journalizing purchases returns and allowances. "payable" (debit) but "returns and allowances" (credit) which balances out to "0".

You will do the application problems 9-2, 9-3, 9-4 and 9-5 in the "Interactive Spreadsheets" (located on pages 260-62 in the bookI do want to talk to you about p. 266 and 267.

Sincerely,
Mr. Green-Hite

Dear Class:

We begin the last run at the semester. We will be starting the "Eddie Ortega" simulation that will start with the Journal being worked on and done with. This area of entry corresponds with Lessons 3 and 4 in the book from pages 57-108.

I want the "Study Guide 8" packet handed in today! You had the whole winter vacation to finish it.

I will show you a sample of the Ortega simulation that was done last year.

I hope all was well with you during the holiday and that you got plenty of sleep...as if.

Sincerely,
Mr. Green-Hite
